Vintage Bridal Inspiration at The Benson Hotel in Downtown Portland, Oregon

When you think of "Old Portland," one of the first places that should come to mind is The Benson Hotel, with its iconic staircase and lobby straight out of a movie from the early 1900s. I had the honor of being on the all-star vendor team at the Benson for the November's Art of Weddings venue crawl, which meant I also had the opportunity to photograph a bridal session spanning three different floors, and multiple vignettes highlighting the vintage charm of the hotel itself. We showcased two gorgeous gowns from Charlotte's Weddings and More's own private line, and hair and makeup by Vamp Beauty. Every detail was coordinated and styled by the Portland wedding planner team at Your Perfect Bridesmaid, and came together to be one of the classiest, and most timeless, shoots I've had the pleasure of being a part of here in Oregon.

The bridal shoot began in The London Grill, with its walnut accents and private wine cellar- the perfect place for an intimate event. Archive Rentals had a cozy lounge setup by the fireplace, as well as a dining table featuring live potted plants from Milwaukie Floral. From there, we moved upstairs to the incredibly ornate Crystal Ballroom, and this is where the real drama was. You were greeted by an incredible LIVE tablescape literally dripping with greenery. Talk about a statement piece! The ceremony setup was accented by candlelight, and featured the talented Columbia River Strings quartet. Throughout the venue were paper accents provided by Paper Jam PDX and sweets from Lux Sucre Desserts, including the all white wedding cake in the ballroom. Finally, upstairs in the Mayfair Ballroom was where the live band Dancehall Days had all of us dancing!

Okay, enough with the talking. Here's what you really came for: THE PHOTOS!!
